Porsche 944 Wet Sump Oil Pan Our modifications to the stock oil pan incorporates a 4-window catch can that traps oil in all 4 directions and allows the oil pump to always scavenge oil. The pan also has a removable bottom floor so inspections of the engines lower end parts can be inspected without removing the engine from the car. The pickup tube is encased with a removable screen that can be removed and cleaned when the pan floor is removed. The screen is held in place by a coil spring that is located on the pickup tube and the pan floor.
